What does it do?
ecoGlaze is a far simpler version of double glazing than replacing your windows. Secondary glazing will reduce the amount of energy that is transferred through your windows. In other words, it will keep the heat outside in summer and inside in winter. This heat retention not only means that you can be more comfortable but it also means that it takes far less energy to maintain the perfect temperature in your home, saving you money and reducing your greenhouse gas emissions.
What is it?
ecoGlaze is a secondary glazing product produced by ecoMaster that provides an insulating air pocket between your existing single glazed window and our special acrylic panel. It converts your existing single glazing into double glazing. Our panel is manufactured in Germany and guaranteed for 30 years against yellowing and crazing.
ecoGlaze uses separate specially designed mouldings to secure it to your existing windows and glazed doors. No other manufacturer goes to this trouble to ensure your windows and doors are not visually compromised. This means that ecoGlaze blends beautifully with your existing joinery to provide an almost seamless look. This is critical, especially for heritage and older style homes.
The air gap traps a layer of air between to glazed surfaces. ecoGlaze will provide thermal performance similar to good quality air filled double glazing.
How does it work?
ecoGlaze provides excellent thermal performance as well as acoustic benefit. It does this in the same way as factory fitted double glazing, only better because our air gap is wider, reducing the conductive transfer of heat and cold into your home.
What makes ecoGlaze special?
- it looks fantastic, we have focused on making ecoGlaze look beautiful in your home
- it is more cost effective as it is manufactured on site and will fit perfectly
- It is clean to install, no mess, no builder's rubble (no builders!)
Can you convert all kinds of windows?
ecoGlaze is available for fixed timber glazing as well as Awning, Casement, Hopper and Pivot windows.
We are very excited to release ecoGlaze for single and double hung (commonly called sash) windows.
